One thing that you can’t control when it comes to your yard signs is the weather. The winter months seem especially trying. Two obstacles that you have during the winter are 1. Purchase durable signs that will make it through the entire season, and 2. Choose signs that can be seen over the snow drifts.
The first problem is easy to overcome if you’re using Lowen Sign Company. We have powder coated steel frames, panels and UV processed inks to help make sure that you won’t see any bending, bowing or rusting during rough weather.
The second problem, however, takes a little more effort- not to worry though, we have options for you!
If you are in an area that sees a lot of snow every year, here are a few tips to help you prepare for those winter Open Houses.
1. If you are using a stake unit, like this one, it can be impaled into a hay bale (either purchase one from the hardware store, or find a friendly farmer!) to sit your signs above the snow. Other options also include building an igloo with the for sale sign on the top- you could get pretty creative here.

The Exclusive Stake is about 3-feet high without any help, however you can add an extension to it that will add another 2-feet.
2. This exclusive stake, sits about 3-feet high without any help. However, if you need to get your yard sign even higher, you can use this extension, which will help sit your sign about 5-feet high.
3. Another option is to use a Premier Post. These are about 66-inches tall and use hanging panels. They are attractive and you can order them in a variety of colors. White may not work if there’s a lot of snow but we also carry blue, black, red and gold.
Don’t let snow bring your yard signs down this winter and get an added lift! If you have other questions about how you can add to your current signage so they work year round, give us a call today at 800-545-5505 or visit our website.
