Rebranding a Fleet: How Lowen Color Graphics Retrofitted 500 Vehicles Across 15 Locations
Our Work
Lowen Color Graphics retrofitted 500 Summit Utilities vehicles across 15 locations, completing a fast, high-precision fleet rebrand.
When Summit Utilities acquired CenterPoint Energy, their vehicles still carried the old identity—five hundred of them, spread across 15 locations in two states. And they needed to be rebranded quickly enough to keep the fleet on the road without missing a beat.
That is the kind of project that separates a graphics partner from a graphics vendor.

The Scale of the Challenge
Five hundred vehicles is not just a large number. It is a logistical puzzle with hundreds of individual pieces that all have to land in exactly the right place at exactly the right time.
Every vehicle had a unique unit number. Every graphic had to be printed, shipped, and installed on the correct vehicle at the correct location. Old graphics had to be removed without leaving adhesive residue or damaging the paint beneath. New logos, DOT numbers, and unique unit numbers had to be installed to Summit Utilities’ exact specifications and in full compliance with regulatory codes.
And it all had to happen in January—in the elements—on a deadline that did not move.
How Our Team Pulled It Off
The Lowen team consolidated installations into two centralized hubs to minimize shipping delays and reduce vehicle downtime. Three installation crews worked simultaneously, seven days a week, with a dedicated project manager overseeing every detail from the production floor in Hutchinson, Kansas to the installation sites in the field.
Real-time dashboards and structured reporting kept communication clear between the client, the project manager, and every installer on the ground. Summit Utilities always knew exactly where their rebrand stood.
The result was 500 rebranded vehicles, completed on time and on budget, with every unit number accounted for and every graphic installed to specification.
What This Kind of Work Requires
Projects like the Summit Utilities rebrand do not happen without a team that has built the expertise, the systems, and the work ethic to perform under real pressure. The dedication our installation crews and project managers brought to this project—working through winter conditions seven days a week to meet a client deadline—is a reflection of the standard Lowen Color Graphics holds itself to on every project regardless of size.
Every graphic that leaves our Hutchinson, Kansas facility carries our name. That means every detail matters. Every deadline is a commitment. And every client’s brand is treated with the same care we would give our own.
That is the standard—and it is what has made Lowen Color Graphics a trusted partner for national brands for over 75 years.
